    POSITION TITLE:              Assistant Director of Admissions

     

    REPORTING To:                   Director of Admissions

     

    BASIC FUNCTION:             Manage the day-to-day operations in the admissions department

     

           

    The Assistant Director of Admissions is responsible for supporting day to day operations of the admissions department.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    CADC or 60 CADC credits.

    Master’s Degree preferred in Social Work or Psychology.

    Knowledge of chemical dependence and 12 Step programs

    Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access

    Possess a valid NJ Driver’s License.

    Self-starter and ability to multi-task; critical thinking skills

    Excellent interpersonal skills with a broad spectrum of individuals, Leadership, co workers, clients, vendors, state officials, and the general public.-

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

     

    ADMISSIONS SUPPORT:

    Direct the flow of admissions ensuring that admissions process is expedited in a timely and efficient manner including assigning admission assessments to intake workers.

     

    Provide direction to Admissions Staff and Access Call Center staff, as directed by or in the absence of the Director of Admissions

    Maintain oversight of daily admissions schedule, ensuring that beds are scheduled based on bed availability..

    Complete daily utilization reports.

         Manage statistics, monthly, quarterly and yearly; analyze trends.

         Coordinate Admissions based on funding availability using Contract Monitor as a guide.

         Manage Drug Court relationship.

         Support admitting nurse, as needed.

         Facilitate staff meetings, as directed

         Provide training and coaching to assessment staff and counselor aides

         Managing staff scheduling

     Support intake workers to ensure compliance with external standards in agreement with state    

         and federal regulations, accreditation boards and program and policies and procedures.

         Perform other duties as assigned.

     

    CCUSTOMER SERVICE/OTHER DUTIES:

    Attend staff meetings

    Know and enforce Turning Point policy and procedures

    Thorough understanding of Turning Point’s servicesMonitor and handle customers’ issues quickly and efficiently

    Professional interaction with customers, maintaining a professional demeanor

    Liaison to referral sources.
